 Porcupine in a tree

We could see the porcupine from the road but I walked in to take this shot.

High up in the tree

It looks like a bird nest from afar, and what a fantastic closeup!

It's high enough in that tree that you can't get too close, which is a good thing! Nice catch.

You are full of surprises these days. I think I've seen porcupines in the wild in my youth, but am not sure and I surely have never seen one up in a tree! Fantastic photos! By the way, what's that spiny thing sticking out of your head?

He needs a few more leaves to hide up there! Great images. Love it!

I certainly had no idea that porcupines hung out in trees! Another example of how blogging makes me smart!

Well, that's not something you see every day. I didn't even know they could climb a tree. You must live in a wild area with all the different critters you find.

Great photo of the porcupine. They're such strange critters. We see them in cottonwood trees near the Green River.
