Ice on Rocks/Cool Clicks

Ice at entrance to Frenchman's Bay, Pickering, Ontario

Although New Year's Day was cold here in central Canada, it sure was beautiful in Pickering on the northern shore of Lake Ontario.

I am linking to Cool Clicks HERE.

Wygląda to ślicznie, tylko szkoda, że kojarzy się z zimnem. Pozdrawiam.
It looks lovely, just a shame that is associated with the cold. Yours.

Absolutely gorgeous and yet I must say I don't envy the birds their cold bath at all.

I can't believe you are in my territory. I also can't believe I missed photographing this icy scene myself;-)

Look at those beautiful icicles! The cold water doesn't seem to bother the birdie at all.

Magical! Looks like the entrance to a cave. The poor little duck looks like she's trying to sleep off the cold.

I believe the duck has his very own ice castle!

Beautiful photo! I often wonder how ducks and other water birds can stand the cold on their feet!

What a beautiful scene. But the poor duck! I hope his feathers protect him from the elements. Stay warm yourself, camera girl! :)

very pretty but I'm with the other commenters. I don't know how the criters survive the cold.

EG! Thank you for your visit and nice words as always. This duck looks like he can't be very warm. This photo is breath taking.

This is the first winter photo that I saw this year...where the ice has built up so thick. Great capture.

Great, I started to shiver the second I saw your photo. The duck looks like it doesn't mind the cold, though.

Wishing you a beautiful, grace-filled 2013!
