Scavenger Hunt

 1. Breakfast

This is a blue jay's New Year's Day breakfast - or part of it, anyway - which it had to share with juncos, tree sparrows and other blue jays. Blue jays can be quite bossy, and when they come in for a landing, every other bird scatters. The jays were most interested in the peanuts, though, and were gracious about sharing the rest.

 2. Multi-colored

December  31st! The last day of the year ended with a splash of colour over East Gwillimbury.

 3. Starts with the letter C

This male CARDINAL was out enjoying the New Year's Day sunshine. It was COLD...but sunny.

 4. Roll

Obviously, these old wheels are not rolling here...but they could!

5. Future

This boy is part of Canada's future. Here he appears to be a future Saint Francis of Assisi. At the very least, he's likely to become a good steward of the environment.

It's all beautiful! Blue jays can indeed be 'bossy'...if air strikes are anything to go by.

Erm, I've a bit of history with blue jays, can you tell?
