Walkways

Raised walkway on the way out to Georgian Bay at Collingwood

It's very rocky below this walkway and there's housing at one end for senior citizens so this fenced boardwalk - along with sturdy benches - makes this a safe way for  visitors of all ages to enjoy beautiful Georgian Bay.

Santa is ready to greet you (if you arrive by boat on the Trent-Severn Waterway)

Concrete walkway on the way out to Georgian Bay at Meaford

I love the shadows here, both those on the concrete posts that make the horizontal rails look bent and the shadow on the walkway.

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

I have a weak spot for raised boardwalks. I'm attracted to them like bees to honey. :-)

That first photo makes me want to go out to one of our nature preserves and just soak in the sunny day. Our first one in weeks!

Years ago spent a week sailing on Georgian Bay. Had a fine time. Good to see the walkways to the Bay.

i like those shadow pics and that is a great boardwalk, so us old folks can sit down when tired of walking.

The shadows in your last two photos are wonderful. You've got a good eye. I'm glad the walkway in your first photo is both helpful and beautiful.

I think I would stop and sit on every bench (yes, ok, It'd slow me down but who cares?) and then I'd have a chat with Father Christmas.
