Old plow and trailer

 Old trailer with pumpkins

Truth be told I took these photos a month ago and then forgot I had them!  It's definitely not this green here any more.  But we do see lots of pumpkins still being sold at the side of the road.

Old plow

This plow looks like a LOT of work to use!

In celebration of the old and wonderful "stuff", I  am connecting to Rubbish Tuesday HERE.

The pumpkins look amazing! Lovely to see the old plough. I imagine an animal would have been involved in the process, but the work would certainly have kept folk fit.

Photos of both pieces of equipment bring back memories of forgotten times.

You know, something about pumpkins demands that somebody take a picture of them. Great shots.

I see some of the huge fields around here and then think of starting out with one of these. I think I would give up farming. Nice find!

Those pumpkins are pretty big. Just think how hard it must have been to plow a field with that old plow.

That old plow has lots of character!

daddy had a plow just like that and that is how he fed us, we ate only what he grew..it made him really strong. as an adult i once tried to use it and could not push it through the dirt. that truck bed with pumpkins is beautiful.

Those pumpkins really do look like the cream of the crop. I love photographing them. Funny how old plows and wagons gain a certain charm that was lost to the folks in the past who likely viewed them solely as functioning tools and a means to an end.

I love the pop of orange in the first photo and of course, I love the old and rusty! Great photos.

I'm glad you found these shots. Those are some rather large pumpkins, at least compared to ones we see here. When I look at the old trailer and plow, I can't help but think how hard farming used to be. It's difficult now, so just imagine!

I remember as a child watching my grandfather hitch up a pair of mules to a plow that looked a lot like this. Those people worked long and hard to provide for their families.

Thanks for your sweet comment. I'm hoping to be a little more "neighborly" in the coming days.

Gorgeous pictures. Seriously. We sure don't see green like that here in drought ridden California!
