Scavenger Hunt

 1. Autumn

Fall asters are a favourite stopover for migrating Monarch Butterflies.

 2. Leaves

Don't you love this time of year? Some leaves are beginning to turn yellows and reds here north of Toronto.

 3. Boots

Hmmm. I wonder where these boys are planning their next adventure.

 4. Hot Beverage

Want a cup of coffee or hot chocolate? Tim Hortons is a favourite place to stop for a hot beverage when my husband and I are out and about.

5. Game

Tug of war is a fun old-fashioned game sometimes played at picnics.

Monarch butterflies to tug-o-war. That must be what they mean when they say 'From the sublime to the ridiculous'. Some fine photos.

I didn't know that Monarchs like asters. Maybe they will discover the ones on our property some day. I love the photo of the two adventurers-the elbow in the air as they eagerly go on their way.

A wonderful collection. I cannot recall the last time I saw a contest of Tug-of-war being played out.

Tug of war... it's been awhile since I've done that. Is it Un-Canadian to admit I never go into a Tims?

These were great. The Autumn shot is so pretty and I love the colors of those leaves. Fun shot of the boys in the boots. Never heard of the place where you got your hot beverage. Tug-o-War now that is a game you don't see played much any more but it's fun.

I did not know Tim Hortons was in Canada. Beautiful monarch butterfly. Looks like those boys are headed for a creek or mud hole.

Great photos! We are currently camped very close to one of the winter Monarch sites. It is an amazing thing to see. There are some here right now, but in a couple of months, there will be thousands.
