Frost on Windows

 Frost on sunroom windows #1

The temperatures went quite low this week, which sparked Jack Frost's imagination overnight revealing these lovely frost paintings on a few of our sunroom's windows.

It's amazing how many different designs there were!  It was a sunny morning so I had to grab my camera quick to take these photos before the frost melted.

Nice. This is much better than some of the art work people pay thousands of $$$ for.

these are just mind blowing to me. I last saw frost on windows back in the mid 50's and i don't remember it looking like this... God's art is so much better than man made.

Frosty feathers! Totally fab Tina. Although we never get as cold here as you do, I do love those days when the sky is blue and the temperature chilly.

My Gran used to say that Jack Frost painted ferns on the windows because he never got to see them growing.

Oh my GOSH!!! These are art, they need to be made into a collage and framed!! It looks like feathers. Did you use a macro setting or just get real close? AMAZING!

These are great patterns. Looks like a garden of ferns. Ice crystals make fantastic patterns.

So feathery and ferny! Glad you were able to capture them before they melted. Just gorgeous.

Kay said...

This is truly stunningly beautiful! I think I can see it melting as you took the shots. Nature can produce some truly fine artwork, though it can be very ephemeral as you show here.

I am too lazy to read all the comments, but I look at these and see awesome quilting designs and I wonder if anyone else thinks of that. They are just so beautiful.
