Spring Has Sprung

 Coltsfoot

I keep thinking "Spring has sprung" but I've been wondering where all the flowers are. Finally last week I spotted some cheerful coltsfoot blossoms!

 Pussy willows

I cannot believe I nearly missed the pussy willows in my area.

 Mink

This is the second mink I've photographed this year. Although there's still ice around some of these rocks,  the mink have spring fever and are out & about.

Tree Sparrow

As of last week, the tree sparrows were still here. Soon they will fly to the Arctic to breed.

What a beautiful post to link to Saturday Critters. I love the mink. never heard of a Tree Sparrow; good to see it. And your blooms are probably a welcome sight after your harsh winter. Have a great day. Jo

Doesn't that mink remind you of a small child that has just got out of the bathtub?

The flower is pretty and I love pussy willow.

The mink is adorable, all wet and fluffed out! I don't think I have ever seen coltsfoot! Now I will be on the lookout, but maybe there are none in this area. It is so pretty and frilly!

Nice signs of spring. I haven't seen any pussy willows but I hear they are in bloom. I cut a dozen daffodils from my flower bed to bloom in the house. ;) Have a great week.

Hi Tina,
Thanks for the lovely photos.
Never seen a mink before, except perhaps in National Geographic or some such magazine.
Glad to note the flowers are blooming in your neck of the woods.
Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)

i'm surprised the mink was on board for a picture!!!

the sparrow is just gorgeous, as is your image. they are beautiful birds, but because they are brown, they don't get the credit they deserve!!!!
