Great Lakes Work Boat

Reflection of work boat in the harbour at Parry Sound

Exactly what a work boat does I am not sure. What it does NOT do is carry cargo, apparently.  This boat is owned by Trimac, a shipping company that operates on the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway.

The light and wind were perfect for capturing colourful, wonky reflections.

Superb capture and very cool reflection and colors! I think this work boat will carry mechanics and attend ships that need mending.

I don't know why, but these boats always hold such appeal for me...I love that short view with the wavy reflections.

The boats that I have seen on Lake Superior or Lake Michigan are much larger than this small work boat. Love its size as well as the ferry behind it. So much fun to be near water!

Look so much like a water colour painting.

A fishing boat or a tug, maybe? It looks well looked after.

That is so pretty, so much color for an old work boat.

Looks like one of our crabbing boats, but without the cover in back and gear.

Amazing pictures, especially the first one looks like an impressionist artwork.

Lovely work boat and reflection. The color is great. Doesn't matter what the work boat does just so long as it continues to be useful.

What a colorful boat!

Nice shots! It does have the aura of a "work" boat. I'd imagine it hangs around until someone needs it for repairs and assistance in one way or another.

I'm working out of http://www.landlfotos.com/blog for awhile. Wishing you a great weekend!
