Here's a photo I took in early March, which shows why wild carrots are sometimes called bird's nests. When wet, the skeletons curl up.
I'm looking forward to seeing this year's crop of Queen Anne's lace. Some folks call them weeds...but not me. How lucky you are if they are already blooming where you live!

Fantastic!
Amazing shot!
BEAUTIFUL! :)))
Wonderful photos of this elegant wildflower.
The composition of your sunset photo is intriguing! I like how the sun is at the base of the flower stalk. A lovely picture!
wow! perfect catch for SWF! Hope to see you around in my corner too..
EG, Queen Anne's Lace is one of the most beautiful weeds... Do you call it a weed in Canada? Beautiful photo!
Wonderful shots! I like them very much!
Have a nice weekend:)
REally neat shots! Once I tried to find the carrot and I pulled and pulled and pulled and I finally gave up. lol
Beautiful nature. Great shots.
Isn't that amazing; what a perfect Sky Watch photo. Very nice.
A beautiful sunset, and a most interesting photo of the snowy Queen Anne's Lace. Great shots!
Two delightful pictures... love the silhouetted Wild Warrots
Great compostion. I quite that one.
Beautiful shot. I like Queen Anne's Lace too. MB
wonderful shots!
These are really beautiful.
Both are nice shots and an interesting narrative to go with them.
If I don't get back to see you again before the weekend, I will wish you a "Happy Decoration Day" weekend. Alas, now called 'Memorial Day' weekend here in the states; and, better known for the Indianapolis 500 race than for decorating the graves of the dead.
Talk about peaceful and quiet, this scenery certainly qualifies!
Lovely sun and plants too.
BTW--about the bees. A few small articles out here but not as bad as in the mid-west. MB
Very interesting...and wonderful photos!
That first image is stunning! I love the second one - it's fairytale looking to me, like Cinderella's carriage.
Great SW!
What great shots and I'm very happy to have learned about Wild Carrot :0)
great pictures!
Very beautiful.
Beautiful sky watch!
That is a beautiful picture.
Queen Anne's lace... I had not heard of that before. Thanks you. This post was quite informative. I love the composure of your shot.
Nice shots. I have never heard of Queen Annes Lace being called wild carrot. It has been introduced over here and grows quite prolifically along the roadside
I love both these photos!
I am sorry that I'm late getting around to the sky watch posts, but I like yours very much.
Both of the Queen Anne's Lace shots are excellent. I love the first shot where the plant is silhouetted against the fiery sky and the setting sun.
I also enjoyed the excellent material you have posted since sky watch.
