Snow-covered Lake/ Watery Wednesday

Believe it or not, there's water under that snow. Actually, the photo was taken a few weeks ago and there may be visible water now. It rained today. The weather here is mild for January.

Wild Cucumber/ Macro Monday

Dried seed pod of a wild vine that grows rampantly over anything in its path.

Luckily it's an annual and is easily pulled out!

This is what the seed pod looks like when the weather begins to break it down.

Mural/ SOOC

Another part of the mural posted on Friday

I like this depiction of a modern-day boy meeting a gentleman from the past.  This mural is painted on the side of a store in Jackson's Point, Ontario, on the south side of Lake Simcoe.

On The Run/ Camera Critters

Turkeys that hang around a farm on Centre Street, Mount Albert (East Gwillimbury)

A friend who lives in this area tells me these turkeys come right up to her window to watch her exercise in the morning. Turkey TV!

But when I want to watch them (with my camera) they scuttle right off. Sheesh!

The light was very bright so they are not perfect photos...but I just wanted you to see how funny relatively tame wild turkeys look when they are in a hurry to get away.
