Rusty Red/ Ruby Tuesday
Share the Road/ My World
Even during winter in MY WORLD you sometimes get caught behind slow moving hay wagons. (This photo was taken through a dirty windshield so a bit blurry. Sorry.)
But yesterday (Sunday) I had no worries about having to move at a turtle's pace. I wasn't in a hurry. Warm temperatures, wind and rain had vanquished the old, dirty snow...most of it anyway. And for a couple of hours blue skies overhead were graced with puffy white clouds.
This farmer took the opportunity to pick up some hay bales off his fields and I, well, "coerced" my dear husband into taking me on a photo journey.

Driving Easterly/SOOC
Typical for December, the skies have been gloomy over central Ontario. (Air crossing over the Great Lakes picks up moisture, forming clouds. If the air cools down enough, we get snow. ) But the clouds disappeared for a few hours, and the sun came out.
Today we're between snowstorms. Environment Canada is promising us two more before Christmas. Hmmm. I wonder if we'll have a white Christmas this year.

Charle Brown Christmas Tree
“And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow,
stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons.
It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags.
And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store.
What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
~ Dr Seuss
And now a very BIG thank you to Blogote at AronaEveryDay (http://aronaeveryday.blogspot.com/). Check his blog out -- it's wonderful. His world (northern Italy) is worth investigating!

Sunset through the Clouds/ Sky Watch
This photo was taken on a day that had been totally overcast until about 4:00pm. The clouds began to break in the west and the sun shown through as it went down. So I grabbed my camera and...
At about 4:15 this is what it looked like. A few minutes later the sun was again hidden by clouds but I'd got my shot!

Old Farm in Fresh Snow/ Sepia Scenes
It snowed again and everything looks pristine once more. We could use some sunshine but today I'm grateful for the clean snow.
The process: Using PhotoShop Elements, I changed the photo into B&W and then applied "Old Paper."

Christmas in the Forest/ My World
Every year in November, someone decorates this tree at the intersection of two paths in the York Regional Forest, which as you can see is very pretty once it snows. Sometime in January the ornaments will be removed. So far, I've never caught whoever is doing this but I hope I do sometime so I can thank them.

Sunset Over Snow Fence/ SOOC
FYI: Camera Critters is the post below.
We saw the sun for about 15 minutes this morning and then again this afternoon for about 30. Yes, it WAS cloudy all day. But look how we ended the day!
Environment Canada says tomorrow we'll have some sun with mostly clouds but Ha! I'm not holding my breath.

Four Deer/ Sepia Scenes
It was a snowy day, and my husband decided to take me and my camera down some country roads very near our home. We already knew the deer farm so headed in its direction.
The deer were as interested in watching me as I was in taking their photos. And I'm sure that if THEY'd had cameras they would now have some fun photos of a crazy lady dressed in a strange hat and many layers of clothes who crossed the field to get close up to their fenced-in area.
As some of you know, I posted a scene several days ago with two deer in the snow. Here they have multiplied to four and have gone sepia.
The process: In PhotoShop Elements 6.0, I changed the photo from colour into B&W and then added a layer of sepia.
