Blanketflower's Many Faces/ Ruby Tuesday
Although blanketflowers are native to southwestern Canada, they're "aliens" in Ontario. Welcomed aliens, though, at least by me.
It looks like someone scatterd some wildflower seeds along the bank of a country road in front of their home and now the blanketflowers are slowly spreading to nearby banks as well.
Last year blue flax bloomed here too, but it looks like the blanketflower is taking charge here.

Beautiful pictures on your blog. Lovely HoT
I'd love to come across a bank of these growing wild. So, as they age do the petals fall off leaving that sort of puff ball shape?
Darla

Wildflowers are little miracles, gifts from nature.
Beautiful collage
Well done on the blanket flowers! When I lived on Long Island, there was a group that would randomly select and seed roadside spaces with wildflower seeds. You'd be driving along and see one such spot and think, "oh yes, that group, they must have been here!"

They sure are pretty. We grow these in our garden.
Gorgeous! You know, when I lived in Northern Idaho I used to buy packets of wildflower seeds and scatter them out along side the highway. It always looked so lovely during Spring in my favorite stretch of road. I wonder if they're still blooming?
Wildflowers that look absolutely wild! I'd love to sow wildflower seeds for our back yard hill - the prettiest ground cover...
Hey Ms. Tour Guide, Happy Ruby (Red) Tuesday (what's left of it)!
I really like your wildflowers, I'm glad they got seeded for you and us.
Thanks too for peeking in on our parade, Blogstock was a lot of fun.

These are lovely... wonderful collage presentation as well!
Beautiful. They are common where I live (southwestern U.S.), but I don't tire of their color. Great pictures of them!
