Zephyr is a lovely cluster of homes, country store, gas station and church surrounded by farms. Here you can see
If you're wondering what the "100 years of Anne " means (above the welcome sign in the collage), Lucy Maude Montgomery -- author of Anne of Green Gables -- once lived in in Uxbridge Township and this year that township is celebrating the famous book's centennial birthday.

A neat lesson in geography. A not uncommon name. There was even a British car with that name once upon a time.
A great informative Z post and as Runee just said a great lesson in geography:)
Well done!

excellent z post
Good choice and Zephyr looks like a nice town. Great post.
Lovely post. It reminded me, though, that there is (or was) an American train named Zephyr, on which I rode long ago with a 3D camera! I have no idea where I have filed those little two windowed slides.
What an amaZing collage! I remember the Anne books and it was so exciting for my daughters to go to PEI and see Cavendish and all the Anne locations! Great post!
I say this every time but I love your collages! You are a great advertiser for this little town. It definitely looks like a place I'd like to visit.
Great idea for Z, & what a challenge it was. I was thinking of 'zephyr' too, but it was the classic Ford Zephyr car I was thinking about, but couldn't find one to photograph anyway! The town of Zephyr looks gorgeous.
A sweet name for a pretty little town.

Oh I would love to see Zephyr in person. It looks like my kind of town. I read Anne for the first time this year. I was so delighted with the book. I had seen movies and shows etc but there is generally nothing that's as good as the original story...
I love the Anne with an "e". Nice post.
I think you must have taken these photos just to please me! I love every single one in the collage...well, maybe not the Welcome to Zephyr one, but I do like it cause it links all the photos together. The others are things I love to shoot.
Nice Z-choice. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent. I am educated in the wereabouts of place i didn't know exsisted.
Yea I’m a big grown up guy, but I have to admit I sure liked the PBS series Anne of Green Gables.
Wow--a whole hamlet for ABC Wednesday! Splendid!
Absolutely perfect choices for letter Z. I love the shots of the sleepy little town of Zephyr.
it does look like a beautiful little town - we have loads of sleepy little villages on the island i live, but they are nowhere near as green
What a cool little town. I like it. MB
Another great take on 'Z' ! All ready I am being jogged for Ideas I didn't think of.
I don't draw these days - my sight is distorted at arm's length by macular degeneration.
Thanks for the visit.
Great photos. I'm glad you explained the Anne bit. My daughter adored those books.
A great choice for Z. Did you know we once had a Kawasaki Zephyr motorbike? We traveeled to France on it in 2000! If you check out a "Zephyr" search on my blog you will see all the adventure.
Zephyr does look nice.
Great ABC choice.
Bear((( )))
I used to drive home through Zephyr every day from work when we lived in the 2nd concession Georgina... just west of Udora. In fact we found a lost kitten there one day and took it home.
Nice set of photos. Are you going around with us on ABC again?
Oh, this looks like a LOVELY place! I LOVE LOVE LOVE those church doors! Fabulous collage!
Hi again. Ritzville is more inland than Penticton and of course further south. My sister lives in Kelowna above Penticton on Lake Okanogan. Ritzville is about 50 miles from Spokane which is near the Idaho border. Any help? MB
Great choice and great photos. Looks an idyllic place.
Thank you for the "Anne" explanation. I did wonder and would have asked.
Very interesting Z photos!and loads of great info...thanks for sharing your part of the world.
Happy Wednesday.
Looks like a nice place to visit. My daughter loved the Anne books.
I love the unusual windows and hinges on that door -- beautiful! It looks like a very pretty town, and I would not mind at all the fact that it is sleepy... :)
Very cool collage. Zephyr reminds me of a beautiful Red Hot Chilli Pepper song! :)
Kisses from Nydia.
