This is what a blue jay looks like when it's taking a bath. This one was splashing, singing, hopping around. It was so funny to watch it with its feathers all puffed out. I'n still chuckling - it looked sooooo silly. ;-)

Wow, what a catch ! Your previous bird is one of the last photos I looked at before I went to sleep yesterday, and guess what : I dreamed about that bird, there were tens of them, sitting on a bridge, a good dream :-)
Such a great capture!!! The bird looks beautiful... even wet! :-)
What an amazing looking Blue Jay. It's interesting to see the differences compared to the ones we have here in southeast Alaska. Ours don't have any white on them.
Great shot!:)
How fun!! They really are characters!
Great catch..I do love the jays...
Super shot!! Did you sing 'Splish Splash you are taking a bath'. haha. Our blue Jays are actually Stellar Jays and are solid blue. Like the ones Gwyn was mentioning.
You always have great shots. MB
What a shot of the bird!! I like the one in the last post too but this one is fantastic.
Get that boy a towel! Gorgeous shot. BJ
He looks like he's really getting into it! Super clean!
Hahaha, love it! He looks so funny but was obviously having a great time .... singing in the shower :)

Oh...what a catch indeed! Also your photos of birds are fascinating!
Great capture!! I LOVE to see the birds flitting around in the birdbath!
He looks like he is having such a great time!
The colors are stunning. The picture is a classic. Nice post.
Great picture (and this and previous posts) - I really enjoy looking so many live and bright colors - it is magic.
This brought a big smile and a laugh to my face :-) Thanks! He looks so happy! I love watching birds in the bird bath.
Great capture. He's having fun.
Well documented wet pleasure!!
This bird looks like he's having a great bath. Aren't they fun to watch when they spash around like that?

Great capture for Watery Wednesday! I love taking pictures of Blue Jays because they are so comical and the color really stands out.
What I always think of as a magestic bird caught during bath time! I love it!
A very clever Watery Wednesday.
Lovely catch!
What a great capture. Blue Jays are funny.

It sure looks like this one's having fun!
This is an incredible photograph and such a cute subject! Thanks for sharing it, a lovely, lovely image.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've heard about PhotoShop Elements too and would like to play around with that some time.
This is gorgeous and so natural for I have seen many a wet Blue Jay. I like this so very much!!!
Too cute. He looks like he maybe saying "do you mind I'm taking a bath here?"
That shot of Birdie Bathtime is terrific! I keep a birdbath full of water all summer too, and it's hilarious watching the grackles trying to push each other out of the water... There's only room for one in here!
Aww, what a touching image for Watery Wednesday. Great capture.
oh, that is priceless!!!
Having just re-read my comment, I see that it is not as clear as I intended. I'm talking about blue hair, (which is funny)... not blue skin (which is yucky and just plain wrong).
cute and a very unique bird...lovely color
