Uxbridge-Durham Heritage RailwayI hope you can hear the conductor calling "All aboard!"
Operating in central Ontario, the Uxbridge-Durham Railway, run by volunteers, carries tourists 20 kilometers from Uxbridge to Stouffville (and back) on Saturdays and Sundays from May to mid October.
This is a closeup of the well-maintained station. Hey look! Toronto is only 41 mile from here.
The railway also includes several refurbished passenger cars built in the 1920s and some 1950s locomotives.Regular weekend rides are now closed for the season, but you can still ride the Santa/ Christmas route in December.

I can't see your photos due to slow laptop and piggybacked wi-fi here in Florida... but I know the sound of the YDHR engine very well, it hoots right in my back yard every weekend during the summer.

I love old trains and old train stations. We had an old train station in Newton, MA, where I grew up, but the trains are now quite new. The old train photos remind me of the one we rode in Vermont, through beautiful countryside. Great choice for sepia.

Trains work so well in sepia, they give such a feeling of time gone by.
We rode a similar tourist railway in New England this past summer.
Once again, I love sepia images. I think it must be fun to ride the Santa train.

That's curious. I would have thought they'd give the distance in kilometers, not miles.
