Every year in November, someone decorates this tree at the intersection of two paths in the York Regional Forest, which as you can see is very pretty once it snows. Sometime in January the ornaments will be removed. So far, I've never caught whoever is doing this but I hope I do sometime so I can thank them.

I first thought that you had been clever with Photoshop - than I read the text. It was even better.
Thank you for shearing!
What a wonderful idea. I'm curious who does it too.

Someone is have a wonderful time playing secret Santa! Lovely photograph.
Can you just leave them a little card and note and keep the mystery alive. :D
I agree, a wonderful mystery. I love your photo, too.
beautiful snowy Xmas tree...
Amazing and very festive idea for the feast of Christmas!
It reminds ancient Greek religious rituals of twelve gods!
Great idea. There is a roadside tree decorated likewise here in Texas, but I have never seen it decorated.
Thanks for sharing,
Troy
How much fun it would be to come across this tree unexpectedly. I found a tree with decorations in August. Someone didn't come by in January to remove them.
that was very pretty indeed!!! I was thinking if you did it yourself :D
Thanks for stopping by! :)
Beautiful!!
Thanks for sharing.
Great shot, I always enjoy coming to your blog. Have a great week.
Cheers!

That's a lovely idea to decorated trees on the way! Hopefully it snows when the tree is decorated!
This is great! I see that someone did what I always think about doing to a couple of trees I've seen.
:-)
Cool! someone playing hide and seek perhaps =)
A Beautiful place to be.
Oh wow, now that is a good mystery. Will you share with us your discovery once you find out who is the good soul who does this? Very pretty.
Great picture, nice with the red bals in the snow.
Now that's a Happy and Natural Christmas Tree. Wonderful!!! :)
What a beautiful tree and an interesting mystery along with it.
Sorry that my "MyWorld" post didn't appear until after midnight my time - please take a look ---

Oh wow...now I want to do the same thing! LOL
What a wonderful thing for someone to do---it reminds me of the person in Baltimore who leaves a bottle of cognac on Edgar Allen Poe's grave each year, on his birthday. Sweet, and a lovely mystery.
Surely they come and take down the ornaments at some time--so you could perhaps hang a thank-you card from a branch? Though, this blog post is a mighty-nice thank you as well!
Thanks for sharing it; it gave me a smile.
That is so beautiful
I am glad some one takes the time to decorate the tree. I just took a pic of a small volunteer among my trees and maybe I will decorate it. It is up by the road. Good idea---thanks. MB
How brilliant is that and such a mystery. It looks stunning as well. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful. I love it when someone unknown does something so nice, and now you've shared it with all of us as well.
How very, very beautiful.
Very cool.. maybe you could leave them a note is a plastic bag.. that is really beautiful
Lovely photo. I wonder if the person who does it realizes how much joy he/she brings to others? Hope so.
What a wondrful thing to do!
When the wole family came together on Christmas eve, we all trouped down the hillside garden and each member hung a real glass bauble on each of the small coniters we had planted, so that no little tree was left out.
that is so pretty it doesn't look real! What a wonderful thing to see every year!
i'd probably be staking out the place to check out who's been decorating the tree hahahaah! that's really nice:) but probably, Gmj is right in suggesting that you should just leave a note to say thanks:) My world is here
How wonderful!
So nice to have lamps in forest too:)
beautiful tree and love the red decorations...and it is a nice person who decorates the tree for all to share :)
thanks for sharing.
Great Christmas shot.
Beautiful your World
That is beautiful! You cant get it any better than that for Christmas!
I love this photo! Awesome capture!
What a wonderful thing to do for the world! The closest we have around here, someone at the dog park hangs a container of dog biscuits from a tree every December, and takes it away after Christmas.
Of course, this is far prettier!
Thanks for sharing!
That's the best Christmas tree ever. Why not leave an ornament of your own with a thank you on it.
This is one beautiful photo, certainly suitable for Ruby Tuesday as well. I also love the sunset below. Hope you get the snow you've been wanting. You can have some of ours!
We too have trees around here that someone decorates, but it is decorated all year long, I think that is pretty cool . Kind of like the shoe trees you see once in awhile.
