Mount Albert, one of East Gwillimbury's villages, has tons of community spirit. Mount Albert's Santa Claus parade is an annual tradition and no one messes with it
Starting in the upper left-hand corner of the collage, here are some of this year's participants :
1. beautiful angels dressed in gold
2. the local Shriners and their choo-choo on wheels
3. a creche complete with angels, shepherds and wise men
4. Thomas! (Ha! More than one kid was more excited about Thomas than Santa!)
5. The local Legion and some pipers (Bare knees! Are they crazy?)
6. And Himself, the guy the Santa Claus parade is named after

It seems to be cold wearing a kilt at this time of the year...
How fun, I love a parade. Looks pretty chilly out there though.
Some Christmas time bouquet. Thomas the locomotive, haven't seen him for years.
I have a weak spot for the Scots. They are true toughies.
Wouldn't want to mess with them or their kilts.

Wow, what a great event. And you photos are spectacular.
That looks like a funfilled parade! We don't have anything like these North American/Canadian parades, instead we do have our Christmas fairs:)
I like the locomotive bus in red, but really like the red shown in the maple Leaf and the kilts in the red tartan while playing the 'pipes. And always a pleasure to see Santa. Of course, if Santa is real, how could he be in Ontario one day and in Ansonia, CT when I saw him yesterday? A jet powered sled? Just wondering...
SNAP! I posted Santa Claus Parade pice too!
I love the SC Parade, it is a terrific kick-off to the Christmas season.
Great pictures! I wish I could get excited at Christmas like I used to.
Good holiday ruby's shots!
About your world: next weekend we will place our Christmas Tree but not a real one. My wife always was sad that each year our tree 'died'.
Nice parade and tradition, was waiting for this sort of posts at the other countries. No parades in Belgium but a lot of Christmas markets.
More photos of your wonderful parade - great ones too! Looks like a great tradition.
I smiled when I saw Thomas. So many memories with my kids and nephews.
Such a great parade of ruby red! Beautiful collection!
Fun-looking parade. We don't have anything like this over here!
I love parades and what better than one with Santa. Super pic of the old fella by the way.
With Christmas comming up, it's ruby everywhere ...
Wonderful pics as usual. Great collage. B
I love the shriners and their choo-choo :)
I really like the way you arrange the photos
This is a wonderful post! Love the feeling it gives just looking at the collage.
Like the collage, and the way you keep the biggest place for Santa, he deserves it... Dear Santa, don't forget us!
Looks cold but like great fun...
What a great collection of rubies!! I love each and everyone of them!
I tend to steer clear of parades because of the crowds. I can't believe I've never ever been to our Hollywood Christmas parade. These photos make me wish I had.
Marvelous Kerri. So much red. I love parades summer or anytime.
Happy RT.
What a fun parade! The others are right, though, it looks awfully chilly.
The cold really makes that red extra bright. :D
I hope none of those guys in kilts die of pnuemonia- we'd have to say he got kilt with a cold...
I am a day late with Ruby Tuesday, on time with Wordless Wednesday and a bit ahead with Sepia Scenes as I cheated and did a
Triple Whammy this week.
