A great country shot, growing up in the country I like farm and snow shots, it looks like it is cold their also.
It does look like an opal. Beautiful.
W O W!!! So dramatic - I love your photos EG!
WOW!!! is all I can say. the photo speaks for itself
...and ground like a great frozen mirror.
PS Tank you for the comments :-)
No server, but I'll manage.
Yes, it IS like an opal. Lovely!
What a beautiful snow scene! A jewel indeed!
I love this picture and the starkness of winter.
You captured some great light. I love rural sky and barn scenes.
This scene would be lovely even without the magnificent sky above it.
Awesome photo; as always!
Yes - opal! Perfect description. It would be a nice synchronicity if that were the birthstone for January, but I don't think it is. I think Opal is in the fall? Great capture!
I love the sky over your wintery barn scene... the colors are wonderful, and the texture, so interesting.
The variable interplay of the colors indeed suggest an opal sky.
This is really beautiful.
To echo Ms. Hays - we love your photos - always a treat for the eyes and with this one even the soul I think.
Beautiful, almost magical scenery.
A fire opal no less! Brilliantly captured and displayed.
It does look opalish!!
It DOES look like an opal. Wonderful. And the peaceful scene below is so unassuming under that opal sky. Excellent capture!
Awesome!
Amazing sky scene.
Have a great weekend.
Sky and landskape like a "Winter tale".
Thanks for sharing !!!
Gorgeous! In no way do I want to minimize your skill, because you did 'see' the picture, but it would be hard to take a bad photo of that scene.
I've got to try your layers trick with Photoshop Elements while I'm thinking of it!
Great open landscape..
Wonderful postcard scene.
Lovely landscape.
Great winter photo!Have a nice weekend!
A wonderful capture--so lonely looking.

Fantastic atmospheric shot. No snow here this week.
Love the drama, the pinks, the serenity of the farmhouse.
This sky colour has been prevalent this January around here. Beautiful land scene and sky.
Very rural and it creates an atmosphere of romance and mystery stories. Have a very nice week!.
Another glorious country sky! Simply a peaceful place to be!
Wonderful coloured country sky shot.

Lovely sky! But very cold.
How are you coping with all this Arctic cold weather?
It's beautiful in your part of the world.
Winter Wonder Land. :)
Great shot.
That looks like a wonderland. So beautiful and peaceful.
The sky appears to be Mother of Pearl. So usual and pretty.
