Blue Bridge Over Creek/ Bridges Between
I like visiting this little walkway bridge to...
see the ducks that live below it all winter long. The creek under the bridge always seems to have some open water, which ducks need to survive. On the north side of the bridge, ice covers the creek. And duck footprints are all through the snow covering the ice.
But the female and two males in this photo are happy to swim even though the air is below minus 15°C (just above 0°F).

What a perfect little bridge -- the color is so gorgeous against that white snow . . . and a surprise beneath the bridge too! I don't blame you for liking to go there -- it would be a favorite spot of mine also.
I left a comment below also on the two trees one.
I love that blue color of the bridge against the green trees. Just beautiful! Those ducks are wonderful. Sometimes the only waterfowl to stick around inthe winter if there is open water. Gorgeous.
B.
Beautiful mandarin ducks you've capture. Sometimes I wonder, could it be due to the extremely cold water that makes them shine so beautifully :P
I love the blue bridge. It is so colorful against the snow. the Mallards are gorgeous. the most common duck in the world, I believe. MB
Awesome pictures.
I really enjoy them!
I love the blue of the bridge. You got a great picture of the ducks.
Oh my, I love them both!
I love the blue of the bridge. One would think you edited that color in because it's so vibrant against the snow. I'll bet it's great to see those duck prints in the snow.
:-)
You don't often see blue bridges!! But somehow it fitted in perfectly in the snow - not to mention with the ducks below.
PS Re your comment. The bridges carries ordinary inner city traffic - once it also had a tram line. However, most of the pictures were take on Sunday December 28....
Most streets in the centre of Bergen have traditionally been paved with cobblestones. Those that have been paved over are now being restored.
Lovely pics - we've got snow just like that now this morning but I won't be venturing out. It is probably much colder where you are and the snow longer lasting whereas here you'd think it was a national disaster from the talk on the media.
This is sooo cool - I just love that blue coulor, both at the bridge and the light (hmmmm - I really dont know what it`s called in english??).
Have a nice day :)

That`s a beautiful little Bridge, and your photos are stunning!
I've driven by that park to many times to count. Your photo makes me want to investigate it.
the blue color stands out so well in the snow!
Pretty bridge, nice to see one in blue for a change. The ducks seem quite content.

It was a nice little bridge. It's not often you see the blue bridges but this was very nice.
This is like my little white bridge. The blue really pops against the white crisp snow. Mallards such gorgoues and I've found hardy ducks.
That duck down must be some seriously great stuff. I can't even imagine going into the water in that kind of cold.
Great shot of these ones though!
Love the blue against the white snow, and the bright green of the ducks. Great color combination.
Nice shots. Splendid photographs! I like second!
Gorgeous!!
I agree with everyone else, that the brisge really stands out against the snow.
I had not realized that the mallards stay all winter, till I saw some fly over yesterday. I am going to have to wade through the snow, over to where I think they are spending their time. I hope my shots come out as well as yours!!
Love this blue bridge. Hope you will get more shots of it, in other seasons.
Ducks up close are a pleasure.
