Favourite Food/ Photo Scavenger Hunt

Juncos at feeder

Today's Photo Scavenger Hunt challenge: favourite food.

True, you can't see the seed inside this feeder so you'll just have to trust me that it's there. But you can see two greedy hungry juncos. And there are many more juncos and chickadees in the nearby cedars, looking out for dangerous critters and waiting their turn to quickly fly in to partake in a share of the feast.

By the way, this photo was taken a few days ago. Most of our snow is now gone...temporarily. Luckily, the next batch will not last three months like the one that landed on us in November and Mother Nature kept topping up.

FYI: Sky Watch is the post below.

I'm really hoping our snow is finished for the winter, but it sure does make for nice photos. Love this one.

These little birds are so lucky to have someone help feed them!

The detail in this photo is so interesting, the flaking red paint, the bits of the roof that are curling up. Oh, and of course birds.

Love this shot, wonderful bird feeder you have there. I would enjoy that in my garden.

Ahh, juncos and chickadees, and tufted titmice, too, are my favorite birds -- so gregarious and cute! Love the faded red paint on the feeder. Wonderful photo. :) Have a great weekend!

It is always nice to see the birds feeding with a helping hand in wintertime. I must say your pictures have a very special quality.

Snow everywhere! I love it! In this photo you might say it's for the birds! Ü

I did something similar for mine except it's a little more "earthy". I think we get Juncos down here but I'll have to check. As always a nice capture.
