Neat monochrome but I want to see it in color now!!!!!!!!!! Ü I have not been sucessful in capturing even one butterfly this sumemr YET! I tried catching a tiny white one but all I got was with its wings closed and it looked like a white triangle out of place. sigh It is a beautiful photo nonetheless.
I see I missed yestedays so shall go comment there also.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

That is really beautiful!
Purrrfect shot :)
Monochrome is always special !!
Lovely - showing that you don't need colour to show colour.
Agree with Eamon--you can really see the color in your shot! Truly beautiful.
The detail and the exquisite composition make up for the lost colour. I would not appreciate it in the same way.
That is a beautiful photo.
I'm just catching up with Photohunt and everyone already has their mono up!
I cannot honestly appreciate monochrome, since we are so from November snows to April's ice! But it is a lovely shot!
I love this. It almost shimmers.
Such a beautiful crisp shot!
I love the shot!! The detail is amazing! Do you remember when all photots were in black and white?

That was a Hollywood ready butterfly - never met one that would pose for me - great respect for that find!
You are turning into a grand showoff!
you are buggy good. :)
That picture would look great in color or b&w. Very nice.
Lacy and wispy. Perfect!
Hi There, We're home after a wonderful weekend in the gorgeous North Carolina mountains. I'll post in the morning.
Beautiful monochrome photo, EG.
Hope you had a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
I never thought of a butterfly in B&W but it's beautiful. Sort of looks like a very delicate china.

I would not have thought to do this in monochrome, but it is really beautiful.
Such a beauty. Looks great even in b/w.
nice contrast! my eye is drawn to the whiteness of the flower.
Omigosh! This is an amazing shot! :D
I must admit that I had to look twice - but I was rewarded: The light made the butterfly almost transparent in monochrome!
So delicated and soft looking. Beautiful shot.
Very elegantly done, as usual. Have a great week.
Beautiful composed!!
I agree with Eamon - you don't need colour to show colour!
Have a great week!

That is simply stunning! I love this in B&W!
I would not have thought a butterfly in B & W would have made such a good shot... but boy dose this prove me wrong.. stunning shot.
My postings today show my son: Sam The Roofer and a very nice Moorland View and Poem
Wow! Even in black and white it's gorgeous...the patterns on the wings really pop out.
WOW ... it's lovely in color, but AMAZING in monochrome ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
I just admired the color version..the B&W is incredibly dramatic. I don't know which I prefer! Must I choose?
