Hay, Hay, Hay!/ Camera Critters

These cows are muddy but the ground looks solid. How did they get so dirty?

This photo was taken BEFORE we started getting our current snow. I bet there a NO cattle out today!

Fun picture, EG. They're certainly wondering what you are up to. Maybe they're laying in the hay because it's warmer?

Also by laying in the hay their body heat melts the snow, making mush of whatever's underneath them and thus they get all dirty.

Was yours a hypothetical question? ;-)

Their fur is a pretty color - someone should bottle and sell that!

They are looking at you too! There is a farm up the road that has a Black Angus herd. I often stop to say hi! Oh, yes and they are staying right by the barn today!

I think they are wondering why you aren't a little *dirty* like they are. They've been playing! Wonderful shot!

That a really neat shot. The composition is so good. And, they like having their picture taken! I don't know how they got muddy but, I bet they had fun getting that way.

Super shot. What are you saying to them to make them look so interested? Nice and warm laying in the snow. I think they rolled in the mud just so you could wonder about them. MB

I'm wondering how they can even bear to sit on the cold ground!
