Radio for Ontario's "Cottage Country"
Haliburton 93.5 is one of thirteen Ontario English-language radio stations branded with the name Moose FM. Generally, these local stations play "adult contemporary music." Hmmmm. I'm not sure what that means and I cannot get any of the thirteen stations on my home radio to check them out. I live just a tad too far south.
I took the photo because I like the name Moose FM. It seems soooo appropriate for local stations in northern and north-central Ontario.
Note: to answer Kathy's question below: Yes, Canadian stations have call letters that begin with C. Moose FM in Halliburton is CZFN 93.5.

Adult contemporary music? Maybe it's a new genre that's coming on the scene! Do Canadian radio stations have call letters? I don't think I've ever seen a sign or an ad for a radio station in the US that didn't show call letters. "Moose" is definitely more interesting than KQUT!

Funny! We have Jack FM here. But I think it's "classic" rock. I usually only listen to the NPR station anyway. I can't stand hearing the same songs all the time.

I guess you have a lot of mooses up in them thar parts! The term, "Adult Contemporary" was devised by a schizophrenic still bombed from the 1960s. He also thought "moose" was the plural of "mice."
Re your question about Ocala's streets: Well, not every street is given a horse-related name. Some streets are named for local horses asses! ;-)
