That is SO beautiful. The rocky shoreline reminds me of Lake of the Woods, where we are going this weekend and I have posted about it. I think you saw that one. My dream would be to own a boathouse, just like that one.
I'll bet that whole estate is very beautiful if the boat house is any indication...so very nice. But you can see that fall is in the air.
Re your question on Stone Creek: The other two flags are the State of Florida and Del Webb (Webb is the developer of Stone Creek)...and I checked today: the US flag flies about 4-6 feet above the others.
is it getting cold? we still have 90's hanging around. The AC is still pumping. I love the composition of this one, especially the log boathouse next to the pines on the point.
When I was growing up in Borneo, both sets of my grandparents had private jetties along the Rejang River. But is was public property for people of the hinterland when they got off the commercial boats.
Also, the natives, the Dayaks could tie their row boat, come ashore, and make a fire on the banks and cook their food. At that time, the Dayaks were known to be Head hunters, and if we were about to take our bath in the river, we quietly retrieve home to their grandpa the dayaks are at our jetty.
Can you believe, this, you are the first person I am blogging to.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Is a boathouse a house for boats? Seems logical, but I wouldn't mind living in a peoplehouse that looked like this!
Quite a boathouse. The water looks pretty choppy, must have been a good breeze.

Another nice lake scene. The colors are really good.
Summer over????
The water even looks a bit chillier than it did 2 weeks ago.
Nice pic. MB
Makes for an interesting picture! It does look chilly!
I was asking myself the same thing.
What a great angle you're shooting this picture at..I wonder how does it do in winter with frozen water and snow and ice...
That is a very elegant boathouse. I imagine that it will be quiet around there for several months.
Another place I would like to be.
The boathouse looks like a house. A lovely place to stay in the summer. Great photo.

My photo must have give the wrong impression.
I wish I was the lucky owner of that place!
Lovely photo and a beautiful boathouse. I was wondering what happened to summer too.
It looks cold and windy there...it's still in the 90's here!
