Red Door/ Weekend Reflections

Boathouse on Canal Lake

This was taken on a sunny summer day. I was hoping to see a local osprey dive for fish, but no luck! Canal  Lake is on the Trent-Severn Waterway.

That red door sure stands out, doesn't it? I love the picture as a whole...the water looks like a mirror.

Such a good format for this image.
You are busy memeing: I can't keep up :-)
I'm still knocked sideways by yesterdays silken clouds.

What a vivid reflection. Very clever photo. Thanks for visiting my blog today and commenting. I agree we should rather try to understand Muslims and stop being fearful. We have lived in Muslim Africa for the past ten years and have never had cause to be afraid of anything or anyone. The Eid celebrations have passed off so peacefully, it has been a pleasure living amongst these wonderful and friendly people. In view of tomorrow's historic date, I posted about forgiving those who have hurt us. This is the only way and we all need to do this. Have a wonderful day. Greetings from Jo, North Africa.

I like how the door reflection blends to the white of the window reflection.

The red door does jump out, but so does that yellow tree!! I think one compliments the other then the blue sky brings them both back to earth while the grass makes us remember exactly where we are! Good eye! Cat (The Door Hunter)

Superb shot. You can even see a tinge of red reflected in the water too.

The red door seems to continue right on into the water! So far away and yet such a clear reflection! Beautiful photo!

wonderful reflection, the red door is so striking. The building locks the boat so no body steals them?

In the Rejang river where I grew up, there were no boat houses. people just tied their boats to the jetty,
