Frost on northern sea oats (Chasmanthium latifolium)
Of the grasses I grow in my gardens, northern sea oats is my favourite. It grows in a clump in sun or shade, blooming in July. But even now in November the it looks decorative in my garden. Here the morning frost looks a lot like sugar or salt.

So pretty!
What a sweet delight!
This is a beautiful picture of the frost on the leaves of the grass.
I love to see grasses and yours is very pretty.
That frost adds so much to this one.
the gentle charm of this grass is delightful.
They are so beautiful with the morning frost.
Grass blooms can be so pretty. But the frost makes it look even more beautiful!
I can see why you like these. They are beautiful.
Love the muted colors in this photo.
It does look like sugar-coated! What a great image.
Frosting adds that little bit of magic to a plant. Lovely

I love Northern Sea Oats too. Over time it seems mine got lost somewhere---It was in a large container. So I planted a new one this year and now I know where the other went----The goats love them too. The goats have their own home now and unless someone leaves the gate open they wont be eating my grasses again. I thought the deer got them but Kylee told me what happened. They survived to bloom though. MB
Not familiar with that grass - it looks lovely at this time of year. I'll have to check it out for next year's garden.
very pretty! thanks for sharing.
Nice to see the frost on this, very pretty:)
this photo is great. I like the color composition and the shapes. Sometimes nature are a good artist. We just have to see it. :)
The frost does look like the plant has been sweetened or brined. Nice capture!
it is a lovely grass and the frost is very pretty too!
Very beautiful.
Beautiful "sugared" feathery leaves on your northern sea oats!
That's most unusual and very attractive. The frosting lifts into something special.
Lovely
Beautiful!

Great photo! Grass always looks so pretty with frost on it. We haven't had much frost where I live in Manitoba, yet. Winter will soon descend upon us in all of it's fury.
