Frost on rose leaf
Until today, we'd had many frosty nights and little snow, unlike many of the communities close by. But today we're getting a dusting and I fear by tomorrow we may have enough to shovel. I think it's time to get out my winter boots.

Oh dear! We're getting a blast of arctic air this week and I don't like it at all...it's supposed to be in the 20s for about four nights! Very unusual. We've lived here six years and for four of those years we had maybe two nights during the winter when it got below freezing...
No snow, though.
But you're used to it!
Hi again! Re your question on Stone Creek: Ah...the way I photographed this varies the perspective...
If you enlarge the photo and look closely, you will see (almost) two golf carts on the hill...In actuality, they are probably about 175 yards away.
It's like an edge of rhinestones.
Very well observed. A small gem.

Simply amazing, how the frost sparkles like diamonds! Great shot. :D
super capture.
Simply amazing! I always look forward to seeing snow shot around the world at this time, just to bring some chill to my hot weather here.
Nicely done! Cathy
My shovel is still in the shed but I fear I'll be dragging it out soon too! ugg
Love the frost EG, and if you will be getting what we have you definately will need your high boots. Lots of snow heading our was, all off Lake Erie though.

Looks like it is edged in tiny crystals. Great shot! Hope you dont get snowed in! Its to cold to fast! We may get some white stuff here next week!
I thought it was something rusty with frost! Great shot though...
The close up of that frost is amazing! Very nicely composed.
Beautiful details of the sparkling frost!
My goodness that's a beautiful shot!
Happy MM!

Nice macro! I like the color through the frost.
Now, that is really exquisite! and the composition is really WOW, nobody will know what it is if you did not reveal it. You should have a contest for us not living in temperate countries, nobody will get the right answer, haha!
Suddenly I feel like eating a rose leaf.
Wonderful macro.
We had frost this morning and as I was heading north I slid on the frosty road. So I slowed down--hahaha!! MB
beautifully done..can feel the cold :)

Frost makes everything look so special. It's amazing to me how plants survive everything that's thrown at them!
We have freezing fog here today - pretty, but treacherous.
amazing, I love it.
Not enough frost here now, this is a great shot.
Fabulous photo... love the frosty leaf... reminded me of those delicious frost coated jelly sweets...
Don;t think of it as needing to get out your boots, think of it as more photographic opportunities :-) Nice ice.
Wow this is outstanding!!
