Stoney Lake/ Watery Wednesday

Stoney Lake, Ontario - ten days ago

Stoney Lake near Peterborough, Ontario is aptly named as there are many rocky islands and shoals.

Lovely watery scene... I almost can't tell if you have desaturated the image or it's just a very wintery grey day. I had the same situation, so I just turned mine into a sepia. :-)

is it never not pretty where you live? have a merry Christmas!

Ditto Kaye's question. Your photos are always beautiful. I want to see a broken window or banged-up trash can or old jalopy, just so I know you are living on the same planet I am.

Have a Merry Christmas!

I dunno about rocks and shoals, but I can see lots of snow and ice and it looks very, very cold, and I think I'd probably freeze there!

But, I have to admit it's a pretty scene and a nice photograph.

Wonderful shot of this beautiful area! This lake looks like it would be a great place to be all year round!

Did you get photos of the eclipse? You commented that you saw it. I hope you got some good ones to share!

Merry Christmas, your photo is so cold. Just like the winter of 1975. Where were you that year when they had a record low?

Cold or not, it is a lovely view.

Beautiful! I'm trying to figure out if the water is getting icy in the foreground and snow laying on top of the ice?
We couldn't even see the eclipse, because it was too cloudy:(
