CN Tower as seen from the Gardiner Expressway, Toronto, Ontario
The CN Tower is a communications and observation tower and an integral part of the Toronto skyline. When it was built in 1976, it was the world's tallest free-standing structure, a record it held for 34 years until the construction of the Burj Khaifa in Dubai.

I posted on a tower too.
I remember the CN tower. I was in Windsor, and we drove up to Toronto to see it. The Canadians were so proud of it.
I haven't been on it yet. But I am supposing that all our visitors will want to go up, so I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunity!
Nice shot. :)
PS: If you want to get together sometime, I have put up an email option in my profile. I was hoping the weather would improve this week.
Nice shot - I love the warm tones in this photo!
it kind of reminds me of the space needle in seattle!
I knew nothing of this. Fascinating. And nice shots, too.
What a great skyline Toronto has!
Your first picture is one of the best I've seen of the CN tower. I love the golden glow in your photo.
Superb captures as always! The first one is stunning indeed, marvelous colors! The CN Tower reminds me a bit of the Space Needle here in Seattle, too. Hope your week is over to a great start! Enjoy!

Cool shots. A neat tower too.
Regarding your comments about the hay: Those rolls are huge and weigh zillions. We cab get two in the big truck and then shove one into the little truck to take to the pasture and then huff and puff and shove that roll out. Whew!! But it is fun because it is a togetherness thing. MB
Been there done that. What a 'walk on the glass'. Too cool!
Very interesting. I handn't heard about this tower. Thanks EG

I've always wanted to see this tower in person. I grew up around the space needle, but they are definitely very different and each one unique.
Amazingly slim tower! Also it has graceful beauty. The view from the top of the tower must be splendid!! Thank you for sharing.
Nice shots!
I can see it from here but I've never been up it! Your windshield was very clean.
Interesting to be the world’s first in tower height. Quite an accomplishment. I wonder if it is now the second tallest … or if the world trend now is to have an abundance of such lanky towers. :)
That must be a beautiful city
This is a 'comfortable' tower! Some more recent ones look impossible.
These are fantastic shots of the city!!
Great cityscape! I like it a lot how you included the cars below! really, what*s up with everyone wanting to have the tallest tower? :D
an iconic sight. the view up there must be unparalleled.
Nice pics. I hope to see it live one day.
Great shots. Wow it looks like a busy city. Charmaine
How the world has changed, now everyone has them.
How tall is it?
I have never seen the CN tower from these angles though I have seen it many times.
Beautiful picture.
Nice color tone on these photos. Love the skyline.
I bet you can see it from miles and miles away....love the lighting in these photos.
Nice shots. I'm pleased to say I've been there back in 1988. You made me look at those old photos - I'll have to post some of them one of these days!
Stands out above all the run-of-the-mill skyscrapers, doesn't it? Must give them a huge inferiority complex.
An architectural wonder!
Great to know about this.
An amazing engineering and architectural creation, and you shots are impressive. You fine photography brings to life the tower as well as the area around it. The golden color to the steel is prefect. The structure reminds me of the Seattle Space Needle. You taught me something new again today.
Quite a skyline you have there! And what a view from the observatin deck.
The view from there must be amazing. I like the look of it.
So tall! I want to visit someday.
I want to visit in the future...wait me...hahahaha
congrats

The golden tower looks magical.

Wow, that's really tall, one must get a stiff neck when looking up too long !
I'd love to see the view of Toronto from the tower.
Beautiful skyline! We need to go visit a big city!!
It's amazing how you capture the tower and still look tall and clear. Thanks for the post
Visit Picture My World Tuesday
