One of our neighbors has two llamas but hers stay in a separate pasture from the other livestock. I have seen other pastures though which have both horses and llamas. I haven't figured out what people here in Texas use llamas for. Curiosity value I think.
Lovely photo of the sun on the critters! Llamas don't occur naturally in South Africa, but I've seen farmers use them more and more, with their sheep to guard against predators, as you mentioned above. Have a wonderful weekend. Jo
Yes i think he really thinks he's one of them. I've seen llama only once yet, only in the mountains of Turkey. I really think they are more cute than those small horses.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

The llama is a cute critter. The horses are beautiful too, love the photo.
Kathy,
Llamas are excellent guard animals, effective against predators.

Hey guys, we are all quadrupeds after all!
that made me laugh!
That llama really looks as if he/ she wants to be one of the guys! Terrific shot!
Adorable! I would think that the llama does think it's a horse if it has lived with horses all of it's life.
