Dogs like this spend so much time around people that they become exceedingly placid and trusting. He would probably hold the door open for the burglars.
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

The dogs (and cats) you see at the country stores are always too friendly to be guard dogs. They are more like a Wal-Mart greeter, only better.
Every good guard dog needs a bit of 'down time'.
That's the kind of guard dog our Sadie is.
got to see this one!
he's so cute!
happy weekend!
betty
well, i think the burglers would trip over him nicely...
I imagine he would protect his owners if they were in danger.
He's just resting his eyes.
Perhaps he i just getting his rest because he has the night shift.
AWW, how cute. He does look like a great guard dog. Cute photo.

I have respect for dogs, so I'm glad he is asleep. Beautiful animal portrait.
He certainly does look comfortable in his guard position.
Naps are good!

He is a guard dog about like Lorelei's Otto!
