Houseboat on the Trent-Severn Waterway, Bobcageon, Ontario
This is a fun alternative to owning a cottage, don't you think? A new vista every day and no grass to mow!

I would love to have a vacation on one of those.
I have often wished that this kind of vacation would be part of our summer plans. Looks divine!
Another beautiful water shot. I need a list of all these places. They are so beautiful! I'd like to visit in person. :)
That´s a *Feelgoodshot*! :)
Oh, yes, a lovely place to be. We just love being on the water any way we can do it. :)
I could take a weekend on a houseboat on a quiet and serene lake.
This does look nice and the no mowing is a bonus!
I'd like to spend a week in a house boat.It must be so special!beautyful reflection!
i'd miss my grass-mowing. :)

Super shot! We had a friend who wanted one of these very badly. Died before he could get one.
We've been out-of-town with no Internet...will be back blogging in the near future.
Hope all is well.
Now that looks like a cool way to spend the weekend!
I could definitely do a weekend on the houseboat. What a cute home. :)
I'd want this lovely houseboat no more than I'd want a charming cottage. No tie-me-downs for this gal! But I could spend a little time in either! :-D
Looks like a great way to travel around. Wonderful image.
(I would love have a vacation like this)
A nice weekend to you.
Beautiful Skywatch shot and Reflection shot. I could be on either one of those boats and be perfectly happy! Have a great weekend. Mickie :)
My dreamboat with a lovely reflection. I have always wanted a houseboat...I adore them for some reason. Maybe it is that the grass is always greener on the other side. This is a great shot. Wish I had been the one taking the photo. Genie
I've heard of people renting houseboats for a week... we should try it someday...
thanks for visiting my blog.
this just screams Summer! love it. I agree, I think it would be a great alternative to owning a cottage. no property taxes and what a view - a change of scenery every day if desired. oh yes. have a joyful weekend E.G.
Very nice shot! It's been awhile since I last saw a houseboat. I wouldn't mind spending a few days on one. :)
Yes, a houseboat would be lovely!
No matter how often I think I'd like to vacation on a houseboat, I've never actually done it. I love the idea of slipping in and out of the water so close to "home".

We considered a houseboat instead of a cabin believe it or not. The dock fees, etc. were just too much in our area.
I love the idea tho.

Sign me up! I would love to cruise around beautiful rivers and canals.. I love this serene photo.
hugs,
Pam
On a quiet peaceful day it would be fab but I would probably be sick on the wavy days!
Maybe I will start by just renting one for a weekend . . .
They have the right idea! =)
I think I could be very happy on that house boat -- especially with no grass to mow.
Yes, it looks perfect! It would be so nice having a choice to be inside or out on the deck depending on the weather.
It's lovely! I could spend a while on the board:)
have a great weekend!
Beautiful and peaceful - great for a week-end, You have captured it well.
Travelling along a canal by houseboat has long been a dream of mine. Usually, my dream is set in France or England, though. Which may be why it has never become reality!
Not a bad idea at all!
With new scenery everyday, I wouldn't mind too!
Beautiful reflections. They remind me of impressionist painting. I could live on a boat like this one.
Hi EG,
The mouse over thing isn't hard at all or I wouldn't be able to do it. Here's the link... Mouse Over
This is an adventure I've never tried. Looks so relaxing.
Right! And do they pay property tax? If no I would love to own that one and live there ^_^ Happy weekend!
Weekend Reflection
I have always thought a houseboat is such a neat way to travel. Do you know that in Florida there are people that used to put their beehives on their boats and go up and down the river to get Tupelo honey. I don't if they still so this but I think it is so cool. What a wonderful way to appreciate the water!
No mowing and a lovely reflection every day. That's a nice looking houseboat, my idea of a perfect vacation.
Through Squirrel Eyes
Now that would make for a fun weekend.
It would be fun to live in a houseboat- but only for a short time. Lovely shot!
Just looking at it is relaxing.
that looks like a fun way to enjoy the lake.
I would love to own a houseboat. It would be absolute fun. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Oh, I could get used to this REAL fast!
What a wonderful image, and thank you for the dream!
I wish you a beautiful weekend.
Beautiful reflection! And a wonderful, relaxing way to travel. But boats are high maintenance items. That is a gorgeous sky (and reflection) in your previous post!
Hi there - what a great boat.
In answer to your question - I would say that everything I saw that weekend was new - just that some of the things I could have predicted would have been there and some not. The whole aim was to "pay attention" in a way that I dont normally - ie one patch, rather than a wider area.
Cheers Stewart M - Australia.
What a beautiful picture ! I could spend some days on this boat !!
Oh, what a cool reflection!! Take me there for a while! Stunningly beautiful.
Have a great weekend!
I've always wanted to rent a houseboat.
Imagine how nice to spend some days in Summer travelling in this houseboat! Wow
:)

I´d like to have one of those. :)
A floating RV -- but doesn't someone have to still cook and clean it?
If I had some place near, i think I could handle having a houseboat!
