This looks like something that would be atop the head of one of the finely dressed ladies in the 20’s and 30’s. What a lovely bloom....it is out of this world. Whatever type of clematis this one is, I certainly have never seen one. This is one awesome photo. genie
I would have never guessed this to be clematis. Our beautiful clematis is now mostly brown leaves but it has managed to put forth two small blossoms about half the size of the earlier ones in the past few days.
Wow, what a great macro shot--terrific. I do like Mandevilles, but they are just in big pots on my patio. I'm sure they would get bigger if planted in the ground. They are not winter hardy, so they are done with the first frost. During the summer they bloom prolifically with little care. Mickie :)
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Great macro :)
I would never guess that is a clematis. It almost has an eerie, scary quality to it, but it looks like a regular ole plant, too.
Oh I love it! Soft, feathery and delicate.
Looks like a beautiful plant!
Almost ethereal - I like it!

Wonderful macro! Looks like feathers.
Nice capture.
O how stunningly beautiful! It reminds me of feathery wetland plants!

Looks like silk, like something to pin on a fancy evening dress.

Oh.. gorgeous! This one stole my heart! :)
I like the seed heads of Clematis. I have some but they are not that shiny white. MB
