Inglis Falls, Owen Sound, Onatrio
On land owned by a conservation authority, this fan-shaped falls is about 18 metres (59 feet) high, a little taller than a five-storey building.
Person on rock below the fall
To show you just how high the falls is, a young man is standing on a boulder below the falls. (I think no one is supposed to be climbing on the rocks, but since he was down there I took his photo.)
Same person on rock below the falls
This area was originally owned by Peter Inglis who built a saw mill and grist mill above the falls. Both buildings are long gone.
Inglis Falls is located northwest of Toronto and is just south of the peninsula that separates Georgian Bay from the rest of Lake Huron.

Gorgeous views! Have a wonderful week! :)
How wonderful it must be to be surrounded by such gorgeous natural beauty. You caught the flow of water just right!!
great shot. Have you ever been to the waterfall in Eugenia, near Flasherton?

They are lovely falls. Hope you are enjoying your Fall season. I notice the trees are starting to turn.
i like the shot that shows the whole falls, with the man on the big rock in the middle. that shows how really majestic and LARGE they are. a beautiful spot. wish i could see it
Do they make a lot of noise?
Imagine having ownership of such a lovely work of nature! It would be hard to resist standing there on those rocks and experiencing a natural shower. But it is probably a little slippery, too. :)
What a beautiful place! I so enjoyed your photos.
Beautiful shot with the falls and changing leaves.
awe-inspiring.
I like this kind of "stair-step" fall. I remember we saw quite a few like it when we visited upstate New York several years ago. They are very different than the sheer drop of falls in Yosemite.
Lovely falls, great pictures.
It's beautiful, EG. And thanks for catching that guy on the rock 'cause he really gives a sense of scale to the picture!
A very interesting place where Mother Nature is so magnificent!

Beautiful falls -- we try to visit waterfalls wherever we go; I used to say I collected them!
I had no idea they existed! Great shots EG.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful waterfall, and thanks, too, for that touch of autumn color in your last photo.
such a beautiful waterfall. Love it.
I do love waterfalls and this one is gorgeous! Breathtaking captures, too! You do get such fantastic shots! Hope you have a wonderful week! Enjoy!

Beautiful waterfalls and wonderful photos!
Your photo's of the waterfalls are beautiful. Great scene.
It is interesting to see this - I was up there in the winter, which created a very different view!
Fantastic of the waterfall, and those yellow leaves made it looks like heaven..
He does give a sense of scale to the falls! I love the second shot, where it is just the falls, and the man, cascading down the rock face!!
Watyerfalls are so mesmerising and enchanting! Interesting how they all have a special shape and character! This one is so beautiful! And love the man featured so small, yet important to appreciate the size of the falls!
Hi there - great shots of the waterfalls - seems to be a bit of a theme this week (if two shots of waterfalls makes a theme that is!)

Oh I so love traveling with you. B
That is a very attractive falls. I like how it fans out and has all sorts of different levels.
It's a beautiful waterfall, and I love the squared-off rock formations, unrounded by the force of the water. Very interesting.

It is lovely, EG. Around here, I imagine some industrious entrepreneur would have dammed it for power in the 1800s. Glad that didn't happen up there.
This is a very pretty falls. It looks quite dangerous to be standing on those rocks.
Those falls are wonderful!
Greetings
These are so beautiful!
That's one brave person!
Lovely shots of the falls.
Beautiful photos of a beautiful place. Mickie :)
Great capture of the falls.
Beautiful photos. Always a delight to stop by here.
Wonderful photo of the falls with the autumn colours just peeking through!
Wow, what a beautiful fall!
Showing the man at the bottom really gives a great perspective to the size of the falls. They are beautiful. genie
Spectacular looking place - and that man really shows the size of the falls.
