Barrie Docks/ Weekend Reflections

Reflection of locked gate onto docks, Barrie, Ontario

I have a fondness for wonky reflections. Since I bet you have little idea of what the original gate looks like, here is one below:

Gate and reflection

The gate itself is beautiful but your wonky reflection is just amazing - looks like abstract art.

Silly me, I thought it was a sailboat!

Thanks for the 2nd picture...the reflection is kinda spooky and it helps to see that the gate is not weird at all. Well, maybe a little.

Still wearing your winter coat? It's cool here this morning...and it's not going out of the 60s today. Brrrr!

I loved the not knowing what it was to begin with. :) Delightful!

i had no idea what the reflection was from even when you told us, thanks for showing the gate. that is a cool reflection and indeed fits wonky.

glad you included both shots. it almost looked like a sailboat mast in the first one.

Wow, gorgeous shot, the reflection is so much more interesting and attractive than the gate.

Cool reflection - I never would have guessed what it was!

Cool - I love reflections that are either so very still as to be a mirror, or ones that work your imagination. This one gives a good workout!

Fabulous reflections. I loved the first one even before I saw the second one. Maybe I loved it more without knowing its true identity, like a handsome stranger glimpsed through the window of a train.

Excellent reflection! The top one is my favorite but I like the perspective that's given by the bottom photo.

The first one looks almost like a sailing boat and I like the gull (is it a gull) on the second one!

Wonky describes it perfectly...and I could not think of the word for the life of me.

Yes! I'm into wonky and wiggly - they are the best reflections.
Enjoy your weekend.

I love the abstractness of reflections and they are often more beautiful than the original! Great photo! Thanks for sharing.

I am so glad you shared that second shot with us. The first one was awesome all by itself, but it was so nice to see the actual gate. This was a super contribution to the meme this week. genie

Although you posted a great reflection, I am glad you also posted the gate - which is also beautiful!
