Not many boats left in the water on Cook's Bay
It was a Friday afternoon - late in the boating season and also in the day.
Empty almost
I guess a few diehards haven't given up...yet.
Here's where one boat will spend the winter
I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.

Very expressive photos. So calm and serene yet sad and lonely. Beautiful.
Yes.. the winter time is getting closer.. Here with me is like Spring.. Strange weather.. But people have brought their boats to home.. same here.. :)
Don't things always look more beautiful after everyone's gone home? The calm and quiet descends and all is well with the world.
The two top shots don't look like late autumn! Lovely!
Härligt att se solen lysa med speglingar i vattnet. Här är mest grått. Ha de gott. Anita
wonderful photos, enjoyed looking at these.
you do take them at nice angles!
have a great day!

i am thinking that beautiful water is pretty cold this time of year, I kind of like the lonely look without people in the way.
Great shots I would love to be sitting at that picnic table with a parka and a toque looking over the water. I love the boat in the (house?:) B
Even down here it is getting late in the season for boating.
There’s something sad and lonely about the off-season lake or beach. Your photography expresses well such atmosphere. The blue color of your photos is always special, I like it.
What an elaborate structure to house the motorboat for the winter!
The boats flew south together with geese :-).
lonely and quiet. i'd imagine you could hear the water lapping along the planks.
The way the weather has been, there is always hope!
gorgeous photo's, all over your blog!!
love the picnic table in the first picture....a great spot for a picnic lunch with an awesome view!!
It looks kind of lonely there. :)
it sure says "end of summer" !
Looks like a change of season. Nice photos.
does this body of water freeze in the wintertime?
Lovely photos!
Beautiful photos!
How beautiful!
Thanks for visiting.
Your photos always remind me of those good ol' summer days.
Cheers from Cottage Country!
Have you had ice on the water yet? It really is time to get those boats out, before they freeze up for the winter!
I like boats, and wish I could spend more time on them, but I sure would not want to have to take the responsibility of maintenance and storage. I will have to continue admiring from afar.
Ah, it does look like autumn! Terrific, beautiful captures as always, EG! There's almost a real sense of loneliness as the season draws to a close! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

Looks like boating is about over for the year....
Quiet for only a season and then the boats and the people will all return. It is pretty just the way it is now...nothing to distract the eyes from the landscape, the structure, and the wooden docks. Lovely capture. genie
Water come to me,
flow over my aging toes,
bring your soothing touch.
When we had our boat I just hated this time of year...When the boat was put away that meant winter was coming.
great for watery wednesday
Wonderful photos!
Good that the boat has a home for the winter:)
Have a great Thanksgiving celebration!
A sign that Summer is well and truly over.
great shots. You know, in sweden we have a canal across the country called Kinda Kanal. (refering to the headline) :)
beautiful set of pics...the top one looks so nostalgic
What a contrast to summer!
Great observation. Some are still hanging in there. ^_^ I would love to be summer again ^_^
