Icy cold but not ice!
Last Saturday my camera lens captured blue skies and fluffy clouds in the east but the sun was actually behind overcast skies in the west. The shore in the distance was in sun, while the shore I was standing on was in shade.
Waves splashing onto the shore
The sunny morning was turning into a moody afternoon.
I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.

icy blue and oh so beautiful
The clouds in the top photo are spectacular. I'll take those and leave the ice behind!
This are splendid!
Brrrrrr, fancy a dip?
beautiful blues and whites!
I don't think I would want to wade/swim in that...it looks cold to the bone.
Love the colours and action in the second photo, :)
The blues in your photos look so cold - beautiful. I love the water - can almost hear the waves.
I'm sure it is very cold.
It may not be ice, but it looks ice-cold!
It has been a weird winter for sure. Great photos!!
I bet the water isn't really cold yet but it sure looks as if it is!
Magnifique !
Bonne Année 2012 !!!!
It looks quite cold! But I'm glad there's no ice yet.
Looks cold. A friend and I went down the shore this past weekend and took some photos. It was cold down the Jersey shore too! However, water no matter what the temperature always makes for great pics. :)
Marvellous capture of the waves EG - the "texture" of the water is fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
great pics! :)
Water in all kind of varieties is always fascinating! I can watch the sea for hours.
I love watching the surf. It doesn't look that cold at all. Sorry about Mr. Linky. I'm re-entering your link for you.
Lovely, crisp shots! Wonderful colours.
I never get tired of watching the sea either -- any water really! Terrific captures as always! Have a great week!

So that's the reason we get a lot of Ontarians down this away? It doth appear like frigid waters!
Beautiful shades of blue in the water.
Beautiful shades and yes even if we don't have snow it's still very cold. ^_^ Happy Tuesday!
Brr!
If you hadn't told me I'd have thought it warm enough for a swim!
Lovely moody blues in these waters! Love the seascape/landscape in the first photo!
Oh, you won't believe it but last week was very special to us here in So. California esp. L.A. and the neighboring cities. It was like summer in January.
Yes, your photo says it all.
Lovely water shots!
i really love the second image.

have a great day and thanks so much for sharing.
Brrrrrrrrr, it does look icy cold from your vantage point.

Looks like a flock of large bird flying in the cold sky. Your wave shot is superb!
No ice but it still looks very cold!
It looks very cold there. Great photograph.
Lovely look at the waves, Friend:) Especially since blue is one of my favorite colors to paint!
Lovely shots! I sure hope that second one ends up on a wall! I love the way the colours are all the same but different! I could look at it for hours!
My son bought a wet suit, and says he can use it in Winter. Winter here in Auckland. Not winter where you are. You first photo remind sme of Windsor when i look across Detroit.
Bur-r-r! What a great place to walk, look, and photograph regardless of the temperature. I'm pretty much a landlubber so was wondering if the water does change color based on temps?
The second photo gave me the chills- it looks so cold!
we are warm in summer, but I still didn't take my shoes off to walk in the sea, I like my toes warm.
I can't imagine how it was like when I was in Canada. My husband says, you were young then,
