Lake Ontario two days before Christmas
I was looking for ducks to photograph but the water was choppy and the ducks were hiding from the wind and waves.

Beautiful. It's hard to imagine the grass is so green that late in the year. Ours has been, too. I even saw some buds and tiny leaves on some plants. However, the temps have taken a nose dive and I fear they have now frozen off.
Very pretty shot of the tree. Nice!
The lone tree with the lake behind it gives us a bit of feeling for the cold swept shore. It would be fun to take photos of this tree in the different seasons.
The ducks were smart to stay out of the surf!

Well, you got off a beautiful shot. I'll bet you were wearing a winter coat, a coat you could be wearing here today - for some reason some Canadians sent us a cold front and it was 37 degrees F when I awoke and has gone down to 34 degrees F since.
I really wish y'all would keep your cold fronts to yourself.

Nice vistas, greenery absent of snow for this time of year. Though it looks cold.
It does look like stormy seas. Odd how a tree can grow so close to the shorline but then it isn't like the Pacific Ocean.
And I bet they aren't there today either!

I love that lonely tree....the blues, the greens, the composition...the waves...it all says "serenity."

Love the tree! It looks like two merged into one. It has a poetic something about it, and suggests romance, even. Do you know what I think? You should use that one for a home-made card on your anniversary.

If I were a duck I think I would avoid the lake on a windy day like this as well. But all of those waves sure do make for a wonderful picture. I like that graceful tree as well.

Even with the sunlight of day, the white caps make the water look mighty cold to me....ya, I'm a wuss when it comes to Winter!!
A walk around OSO BAY
When the birds hunker down, you know it is going to be quite a blow. They stopped our ferry last night because of wind waves. Still blustery today. - Margy

I love trees!
The water does look really choppy. I like how, in the 2nd shot, the water and sky seem so dramatic to the calm and quiet of the still tree.
