Cantankerous waves happening there with a bit of help from "no-nonsense - get-out-of-the-way" winds I imagine! A sense of exhilerating wildness in this scene guaranteed to encourage dreams of hot cocoa indoors!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Those Mergansers seem to be found in all kinds of weather - nice shots!
Wow what awesome photos, especially the first one! Love it!
That water looks like it is sort of rough...wouldn't want to be out on it in a boat.
those are some pretty wild waters today.
Looks like "rough seas" to me! Beautiful catch!
That first photo if full of dangerous energy. Brrrr. Scary. I'd go hide in a cabin and get a roaring fire going.
That common merganser is probably lost 'cause, like a male, he wouldn't ask for directions. He could be in Florida by now!
Lovely shots.
Let me know if you ever want to get out during the week. I need a motivator. :)
Another cold brrr looking photos, love the merganser with its brilliant red beak.
You must have been getting blown around taking these shots!
I'd love that on a sailing boat!
It looks quite choppy out there.

Boy it looks pretty windy and cold out there.
This water is beautiful, but it surely looks COLD. It must have been quite a windy day when you were shooting these. They are lovely. genie
Your first photo would be a perfect subject for a watercolor. It already looks somewhat like one. Very interesting view.
