I always enjoy your photos of reflections, maybe it is the repeat pattern that attracts me.

Your marina shots always make me sad for our old boat. Nice shot!

A calm, placid body of water usually gives some good images, as does this one!

No ice fishing this year, eh.

Andy,

Yes, there's ice fishing this year but it's quite limited at Virginia Beach. The huts are to the right and out of the photo.

Amazing how much deeper the reflections are in one than the other and taken only seconds apart. This are beautiful and oh boy does it look cold to me.

Ice! Brrrr ... thankfully, here it rarely gets cold enough for the lakes to freeze.

I think these are the best reflections in ice that I have seen. Both of these photos are beautiful.

I imagine it looks very different in the summer, filled with boats and people out enjoying the water.

Gorgeous...nice reflections on the ice and I like the repetition of the benches. I prefer the lead image, but both are nice.

The docks look so different now, compared to the summer! The ice near them is so smooth!!

The properties of ice in a natural setting is the perfect ingredient to create wonderful images.

Great job!

Btw... I was out in Keswick recently which I believe is in your neck of the woods.

these timber what are they for?

I didn't know you in Canada and America play pock up sticks. When I was young, we recycled old umbrella frames, and used them to play.

great idea for the reflection meme. Everybody is so creative and I just do the mundane. Ah well MB

Some ice but probably not enough to go fishing on? Right. I like the geometric design of your composition!

Gorgeous, don't think about hauling boats out when you live near salt water, but of course it happens. What a wonderful capture.

Each time I see Virginia Beach on your blog I immediately think of our Virginia Beach here in Virginia...not the one in Ontario. These are lovely icy water shots, and the wood adds a very nice contrast. Great pictures this week. genie
