O/Alphabe-Thursday

Private OBSERVATORY, Dyers Bay, ONTARIO

How OBSERVANT of you to recognize this is an  OLD photo (well, not really that OLD, just from early last fall). AH! The green leaves and grass gave that away.

I think we can safely say someone who lives in this home is serious about OBSERVING the moon, planets and stars, don't you think?

I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE

I thought I was already here. I commented about the turrent. How nice to sit there on some level and gaze out over my property. Drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes — back when smoking was fashionable.

How fantastic! I can just imagine sitting in there at night. Wish I could have my own turret!

Just think of all the star and planet pictures you could take with a big telescope! I would love that!

Now that's a real toy for grown-ups! I'm afraid the tower wouldn't fit in my condo, no matter how much I'd like one of my own.

That's so cool.

PS: I'm always learning something from your blog. I had to Google Dyers Bay to find out where it is.

I like the shape of this home. It's unusual.

This looks familiar. As I recall it's owned by an Italian family, Mr. and Mrs. Galileo.

Lovely house and wonderful turret and beautiful reflections and you really went out of your way to follow the theme! :-)

I don't think I've seen anything quite like this. That is quite an observatory for a private home.

That is amazing for a private home. Great shot.

Nice looking building, and colour. Would be interesting if it is a private observatory.

How cool! My guys would love this.

How interesting that they have an observatory in their own home. They are probably quite serious looking at the moon and the stars.

I can't imagine living in your own observatory. I just hope they're star gazers!

I'd say someone lived there that was a VERY serious star gazer. Neat looking place.

I had a friend whose husband built an observatory in their back yard. They had the most awesome astronomical photos! These people are definitely just as serious! :-) Thanks for your comment on my recent post.

For some reason I think I've been in that area and seen that observatory.
Out here we have the Dominion Observatory, which is quite fabulous.

Wouldn't it be fabulous to live in a house with a private observatory?

I can't even imagine the riches that family gets to experience whenever they look out the windows!

Thanks for an outstanding link to Alphabe-Thursday's letter "O".
