Red trillium
This is a great time to walk the trails in the Provincial Forests in and around East Gwillimbury. Red trillium are in full bloom as are many other wildflowers.

We often see white trillium in the mountains, but red trillium are extremely rate around here. Your photo is superb -- you've captured the color and texture perfectly.

I have this growing this in my yard! And this picture makes me feel like I could reach out and touch it.
I don't think I have ever seen this flower- how pretty.
I didn't know there are red trilliums. White trillium is a symbol of Ontario and it would be blooming right now in a little wood by the place where I lived in Oakville.
