Love the dragon wind vane. I've seen one similar to it in Phoenix. I've not had any luck photographing dragonflies. They always land on something really ugly, like the ladder or the gravel driveway. You, on the other hand, have some beautiful shots for your portfolio!
Aren't dragonflies such interesting looking creatures! Their colors are almost jewel like. When I was little, we knew these creatures as 'mosquito hawks' because they just love to munch on those pesky biters!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

NEAT weathervane!!!
Good grief I've never seen so many dragons. Out of 18,000 photos on Flickr, I have not one of a dragon.
Fabulous shots, EG, especially that 1st one.
Terrific captures.
The last one at a great angle.
Another great example of fine photography and enjoying mother natures handiwork.
I love their wings they remind me of stained glass. And how interesting--a dragon weather vane. I don't believe I've ever seen one.
Well done on the dragons!
Great "D" post! Love the pics, they are so delicate and colorful...
Love the link between the different dragons - terrific captures especially on those amazing dragonfly wings!
Very pretty dragonflies! :)
They're hard to catch.
I just love dragonflies, and I haven't seen hardly any this year with our drought conditions. So glad you've shared yours!
Nice!!! I always love seeing dragonflies...not sure why.
The photos are incredible and what attention to detail! And the way you capture them I can see why you like seeing them.
Very nice dragon fly pictures. The weather vane is soooo nice. And you got a really good picture of the live dragon fly.

Good job getting pics of dragonflies...they are too fast for me!
fun... when I saw the title I immediately thought of the snap dragons that grew wild around my childhood home...but I love dragon flies too...

They are quite delightful.
Sadly, I'm not quite as good at capturing them on film as you!
