Now defunct coal-generated energy plant, Rochester, New York
On our recent trip to New York to visit a sick relative, we spent a couple of mornings out making photos. (Hospital visiting hours didn't start till 11 AM.)
In this photo, I like the blues, greens and tans and the hard building bricks reflected in the soft water. It was an incredibly beautiful morning.

Great reflection, great scene, and great capture of the colour of the rusting stacks.
Great shot Cameragirl I love the look of old smoke stacks and the reflection is perfect.
I hope all is well with your relative. Take care Hug B
Your reflection shot is lovely, Camera Girl.
Its great that all the black soot at the top of the stack is not going into the air any more.
I hope all goes well for your family member.
The reflections of those huge towers are very beautiful!Lovely postcard!

i am wondering if they will tear it down or find a use for it or just let it fall apart. it makes a beautiful photo
Nice reflections- and again, you have so many beautiful places to stroll! Hope your relative is feeling better.
It does look like a great morning, reflections and all!
Great reflection, shows that you can find beauty everywhere - even in industrail sites.
Fine photo in warm, morning light. Colors, shapes and reflections are wonderful.
quite pretty!
Everything that you said----it all fits in together. Good eye, girl. MB
Great reflections!
It's good it's a defunct one! and I can see the grass by the river is soooo green! :)
Lovely reflections! :)
Un petit côté impressionniste, cette photo, bravo.
Lovely reflection, EG.
Hope all goes well with your relative.
A lovely serene photo and I'm so glad that coal-burning plant is shuttered!
VERY nice! I'm betting when that plant was running, it wasn't so pretty around it!
Perfect!
Sorry about your relative. Hope things get better.
A perfect reflection it is! I love the soft ripple on the water and such beautiful blue skies! I'm so sorry to read about your relative and I do hope he/she improves and all goes well! Holding good thoughts for all of you! Have a good weekend!
Despite the industrial nature, it is beautiful! I am imaging it as a castle instead of a plant.
I do hope your relative is getting better, so sorry.
You somehow managed to make an old factory look beautiful :) Love the softness you described here...
Ah, but can one get inside the place to explore the defunct corridors and conveyors and smokestacks ? Looks like a great urban exploration site...
Very nice reflective shot. Enjoy your weekend!
Just lovely - and even the clouds were cooperative - nice shot!
It looks rather artistic in this light.
That's a nice one.
Such deserted industrial places often make great subjects for photographers
Jolie photo !
Nice picture. I thought it looked familiar as Battersea Power Station, London but seems there's a twin.
This picture actually reminds me of my visit to Chernobyl..
Very nice reflection in the river.
A wonderful old structure, a gorgeous and colorful reflection in the water, and a family of ducks swimming out on a little outing. For what more could one ask when walking along with a camera. You definitely hit the jackpot with this one. Happy Sunday. genie
I love the water in the shot...I actually like the whole shot but I think it is the water that really pulls me in.
