Tiny Marsh, Ontario
This year the water in this wetland is low - even for early August - but not too shallow for a canoe.
Enjoying a paddle through the lily pads and reeds
FYI: Tiny Marsh is not tiny. It takes its name from the township it's in, which you may have just guessed is called Tiny Township. No, the township isn't tiny either! Apparently a former lieutenant governor's dog was. Yep, the township was named for someone's pet.

However it got it's name, it looks like a great place to go canoing!
Let's hope today's rain will help the water levels. Nice capture for a rural area.
It looks like a fun spot to paddle in and I enjoyed the story about the naming of the place.

What a neat place for some paddling!
i love that splash of yellow canoe in the beautiful background.
Great story! I may have to put this on my list of places to visit.
I haven't been canoeing in a long time. It looks like fun. I wish it would rain to fill up that wetland some more.
Fun photos and relaxing ~ Great shots ~ (A Creative Harbor)
Water is a great place to spend a couple of hours. Hoping I can get the hubby out on the river this weekend!
What a lovely tranquil setting.
Wonderful photos! I would love to go canoeing there!
I love paddling - looks like a beautiful spot!
the name of the township is too funny. :)
Great pictures! And so interesting about Tiny the dog!
Great shots, especially the first one. Cute name.
Y'all shore do some funny things up in them thar parts! Tiny, indeed! Looks like a lovely place for a paddle in a lovely yellow canoe, though. You didn't happen to see a yellow submarine, did you?
This is re your question on Stone Creek: Yes, of course that is a pyramid. Stone Creek is built on a pyramid scheme! :-)
I love that bright pop of canoe against the gorgeous waters - ahh... If it's not one million degrees again this weekend, I'm desperately hoping to fit in a canoe/kayak session :)
what a pretty place to float in a canoe!
Lovely days of summer ;-)
Wow Tiny Township after a dog I did not know that.
Love the photos. B

Now that is better than work. Nice shot.
What gorgeous photo's. I love that little yellow boat.
How cute to name a township after a pet! Looks like a lovely lake to go canoeing!
Looks like a peaceful place to have a float!
Is there a Tobyville up there? Or a Lolaville?
Well that's sweet, naming the township for your dog....it looks like a great place to canoe, and if I had a canoe, I'd love it to be yellow!!!
Great shot, quintessential summer scene.
A yellow canoe!! Great. I haven't been on a canoe ride for quite some time. Only we had a red canoe.
Love your water lily pics. MB
