Lake Simcoe on Sunday afternoon
The sun has been elusive lately. Environment Canada has promised sun but wherever I have been the skies have been an orange-y grey.
Grey but mild
But hey! That hasn't stopped a lot of us from spending time out with nature. And this weekend the weather was unusually warm.

The weatherman hasn't even promised sun here, I think the grey skies are universal. But the Lake Simcoe area is beautiful, sunny or not.
Rain moving into our part of Ontario this evening. But we did have a couple of nice sunny days with above average temperatures. Are you finding the water levels low at the lake? They were really low on our walk down by the bay this morning.
We are having a lot of heavy rain here at the moment, it was nice yesterday but very rainy again today. Not fun!!!
That looks like a lovely place to visit and to have a picnic. :)
What a pretty lake, it looks like a great place for a picnic. Lovely photos, thanks for sharing!
We had a gorgeous day here with sunshine and it was 18 degrees celsius! Rain for tomorrow so the sunny days are very few and far between. People were out walking, biking and motorcycling today. The last hurrah!
We've had lots of sun, but it's still pretty chilly. And the nights are downright cold.
=)
We have been having our share of gray days, but I admit that I like them a bit. Nice to see people out enjoying the cook weather, in your shots.
We had a couple of grey days this weekend too. Lovely shots, there's a great variety of water colors in that first one.
we were lucky this weekend with the weather weren't we? Even this morning was pretty nice, although very windy.

Lovely park. It was 59 yesterday, and the 20's today with snow.
I don't think I like the sounds of that - if you are having gray skies now, that means we will have them tomorrow...
But we did have a week of sun, and I took so many photos that I couldn't edit them fast enough to keep up, so maybe a couple of days of gray will come in handy!!
I'm glad that it was warm at least. These are lovely shots of this beautiful place I never tire of looking at!
Isn't it interesting that weather forecasters are the only people that I know who are paid gobs of money to be wrong almost every day? :-))
It is beautiful, despite the gray skies.
Even if the sky is grey it's nice to get out when the weather is warm. I love the picture of the bridge!
It's still a gorgeous set of photos! And how lucky the weather has remained warm - I hope it lasts (there and here!)
What a beautiful lake.
We go from one cold day to a mild rainy one, very strange. But we don't have a lake... :-)
It's beautiful and I love the wee bridge!
I gave up on the weatherman years ago, best to just pop your head through the door and take a look for yourself!
That looks very different to what I;m seeing at home today! Happy Autumn / Winter!

Rainy weather here, and this morning it is 30 degrees...a way bit too chilly for me!
What lovely shots and lighting.
i like the composition of the first and the bridge in the last.
Hurray for warm weather in November! We had teens and snow, so I didn't get out, unfortunately.
I always enjoy your pictures of the lakes. I can't even imagine that much water.
Looks like a great place to enjoy nature no matter what the skies are like. Gray can be beautiful too.
looks like a lovely place to go walking even if the sun doesn't come out
It was awfully gray for a while, but glad you got out and took photos anyway...Michelle...
I don't mind a few cloudy days. I like the the landscape changes from season to season.
