Pine martin sitting on a suet feeder in among some shrubs and vines
This cutie - approximately the size of a small house cat - is related to minks, badges, otters, and weasels.
Is the coast clear yet?
Its favourite foods are rodents such as flying squirrels but it will also eat rabbits, birds and reptiles. This one has a particular fondness for suet.

Jest śliczny i pewno zaglądał, czy jest coś do jedzenia. Pozdrawiam.
It sure looked pretty, and if there was anything to eat. Yours.

Great shots of this cute little critter!
This would be a hard one to focus on, with all of the brush in front of the little guy. Good work!
Visiting from Cool Clicks....seems he has a really long tail♫ Here's my effort: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/01/frosty-etchings.html
Great photos!Very beautiful shots!
Those are so hard to photograph! They are so people-shy. How awesome this one had a hankering for suet so you could capture these shots!
Wow, I've never seen one, EG! Your nature shots are so wonderful.
When I saw "pine martin" I thought it was a bird. Imagine my surprise. It has almost a foxlike face. Pretty little varmint.
Caught in the act!

What an amazing series of captures - I've never seen a pine martin out here! It's adorable! (Even better if it helps keep rodent populations in check:)
He is a cutie and looks sneaky!
