Empty Docks/Friday Fences

Whitby Yacht Club

True, the fence is not obvious here but if you squint you can see it, preventing photographers gawkers from falling into the water.

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

Nice composition, the fence looks like a trip hazard to me.

i saw the fence immediately. i zoomed right on in. ha. ha!! neat place. ( : i wonder if at one time it was in a better condition & with terrible weather it just fell apart?

Great photo. I like the rows of grey docks with the water between and the dull atmosphere of the cloudy day.

Love this shot I am afraid that little fence would not stop me from toppling in the water trying to get a good shot:) B

I had to find the fence, I was taken by the silvery wood.

Looks pretty quiet around there. You will have to show us how it looks when the boating weather is here.

I would so love to be able to participate in this fence party, but down here...just hardly no fences...boo! But you always have a great one to share with us...kudos to you my friend.

Great scene and I do see the fence! I hope you will show us this again when the the marina is filled with boats.

Ha! Not much of a fence. I'm sure I'd find a way to fall in the water. The moody sky certainly commands attention in this shot. Very nice!

I'm not sure if I've ever seen an empty dock like this here EG..Must be an event on or something oui!

The weather will soon be warm enough to bring out the boats again!

Good the fence is there else one can really walk into it.

That would be me, falling into the water for sure! Great moody capture, love the waterway receding into that sky!

I like the barren look of the empty docks.

I would better trust the buoy than the fence.. :o)

What a lovely place. Beautiful photo.

Sort of sad without the boats, isn't it? It looks like the birds don't much mind it, but I'll bet there are a lot of sailors itching to get out again.

I miss all the colorful little boats, but the capture is still so nice. So tranquil and peaceful. I can see the fencing. It is a good thing it is there. genie

I like the perspective here and the way you've framed the shot. One does wonder where all the boats have gone.
