Nonquon Provincial Wildlife Area, Port Perry
Actually I was at the wildlife area to check out birds, but I discovered it was far to wet to walk there since I was not wearing boots. The water in the creek and swamp was high, and the the light waning. And then I spotted this incredible reflection. Although my feet got very wet, I was happy to find a subject I wanted to photograph..

It's an amazing shot with an almost sculptural quality.
Stay warm and dry today!
If you went through some discomfort you are definitely hooked on photography.
Oh this shot was so worth it but maybe you need some Pink Cadillac Boots:) Great shot. B
it's like a big claw reaching into the water...beautiful photo!
The limbs make a natural rustic frame for this reflection. Cool!
this photo is so marvelous i can hardly tell where the reflection starts and the tree ends. perfect in every way
I agree - this is an amazing image!!! I would have gotten my feet wet, too!!!
Awesome reflection, indeed, with a description of the bare branches that is appropriately poetic. From my perspective well worth your wet feet. :)

Very abstract. You go to no ends for a good shot don't you?

Wonderful reflection, EG!
Wonderful branches and reflections. It looks sculptural!
A perfect mirror image, well worth getting soggy feet for!
That is a great reflection. I think it was worth the wet feet!
The roots of the Earth... Lovely picture of Nature !
What stark beauty - I love their lines, so graphic against the water. Gorgeous reflection!
the branches and their reflections make such lovely patterns in this photo
that is an incredible shot--well worth the wet feet.
That's a nice, glassy reflection of the sky in that water, and I like how the trees set it off.
It is wet here (near Chicago), too. My feet were soaked as we helped some friends protect their homes from flooding. The cool water was fun for a little while, but it didn't take very long for the cold to bite. I'm glad to be dry and warm again.
scintillating reflection! It looks like the tree is growing out of the water.
Oh wow- that's a perfect reflection shot!
